History of Barbados

In the historical series, I am trying to present small chuncks of information
usually relating to picture(s) in the Gallery.... I am seeking to give you
addional insight into our history (data NOT contained in the "garden"
variety of books on the subject) and make it come-alive in a way you
can relate to in everyday experience... how people dressed, what they
ate... what they saw and how they felt about it..

This is why I prefer to quote from diaries, where possible... it adds a
dimension of "being there"... which is lacking in other sources of
"evidence"
