 Do I Love ?



I do not love you--I love you not. 

If loving means dat I deceive fuh gain 

And abuse and hurt and cause you pain 

I tell you true, I love you not. 

If loving means dat I must plot 

To betray yuh trust and cheat you plain 

And manipulate and dominate and lie again, 

I do not love you--I love you not. 



But, if loving you means complete honesty, 

If it means you are unfettered and free to pursue 

Yuh dreams and hopes and if you can be free 

To be all that you wish and I let you be you 

And we are equals -- you and me -- 

Den I love you true. I do love you.
